Ladies Night for Women in Engineering Sciences

The Ladies Night for Women in Engineering is a networking event with a wide range of information on careers for women in engineering, mathematics, computer science and the natural sciences.

In 2022, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary.

In all these years, the Ladies Night has taken place in various formats. In addition to corona-related online meetings, it is above all the numerous face-to-face events that make up the Ladies Night.

These are characterized by guest lectures by established scientists and engineers as well as a wide variety of offers for students and pupils on careers in the STEM fields.

At all our events, the focus is always on highlighting different career paths in industry and science for successful women and, above all, inspiring the younger generation to take up this profession and pursue their own careers

The Ladies Night not only offers the opportunity to find out about topics such as gender equality, gender-specific wage differences, the compatibility of family and career as well as family and studies (or a doctorate), but also provides a space to share experiences.

Ladies Night Prize 2025

The competition is aimed at female students from the fields of process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, natural sciences and computer science.

Participants should submit a scientific poster by 31.03.2025 at the latest, which summarizes their own scientific work (Bachelor's or Master's thesis, HiWi project, internship project or similar) and presents it in an understandable and convincing way for the non-expert reviewers.

All posters will be evaluated by a jury consisting of scientists from various research areas at the OVGU. The winner will receive an award and an additional surprise.
