Excellence Award for the German Fire Protection Association
On the occasion of the German Fire Protection Association's (GFPA) 2016 annual conference, FVST graduate Dr.-Ing. Michael Neske (now of the Institute of Fire and Disaster Protection Heyrothsberge) was granted the GFPA's "Excellence Award".
He received the award for his 2015 dissertation at the FVST titled "Experimental studies and theoretical modeling of the effects of heat exposure on self-contained breathing apparatus, full face masks, and regulators."
The GFPA’s Excellence Award is the highest award granted in Germany in the field of fire protection research.
