The Tasks of Examination Committee
Examination Committees have the statutory duty of accepting mid terms and final examinations; §§ 39 para.1 S.1,48 para.1 BBiG and §§ 33 para.1 S.
This regulation includes, in addition to acceptance in the examination, several tasks that are defined in the Vocational Education Act and the respective examination regulation.
In particular, these include:
- The determination of admittance to final exams, if the responsible body does not see the fulfillment of the requirements, § 46 para. 1 Sentence 2 BBIG
- The determination of the examination problems based on the education or re-education regulations, § 18 para. 1 MPO
- The evaluation of individual examination results and the examination in general, § 42 para. 1 BBiG
- The decision of passing and failing the final exam, § 42 para. 1 BBiG
- The determination of the exam results and their transcript, § 26 para. 1 MPO.
- Issuing a certificate verifying a passing or failing grade, § 26 Abs. 3 MPO (BBiG)
- The preparation of a transcript of the examination
These tasks are naturally associated with preparation and follow-up work. These are carried out by the responsible party under the framework of and in agreement with management of the Examination Committee. These include, for example, sending invitations, taking minutes at committee meetings, and implementing decisions made by the Examination Committee.
